The kids have officially created a tradition. As new year approached they kept asking me if we were going to do the table full of food. So I did. It took many hours and lots of helpers. And of course we ended up with way too much food and had to beg friends and neighbors to help us eat it all.
We ate and watched movies and ate more and watched more movies. Fortunately Peter was on top of things and came to get us two minutes before midnight. We did the countdown and drank Martinellis and then the kids stayed up forever while baby and I went to bed at a respectable 1 am.
