I really wish I could say that my life is really exciting right now and something really cool happened, but I really can't.
Baby Lisa had her 2 month visit with the Doctor yesterday. She managed to go from the 4th percentile to the 75th percentile in just two months. It was great to get credit for spending the last 2 1/2 months doing nothing other than feed her! She's doing well despite the galactosemia and the Dr. says everything is great.
She did get 3 shots though and one oral vaccine, and she's miserable today. Plus her swing isn't powerful enough to push her and her big soft blankie high enough for her wishes. So I've spent the entire day holding her trying desperately to get a break every hour or so to run down and move laundry. Thanks Megan for holding her and talking to her so many times!
I did manage to find my laundry room. That is actually a pretty major event. I had to have Sara take over the laundry when my nanny left for New York in April. Or was it March? I really have no idea any more. I couldn't get laundry up and down stairs, and after baby was born, I wasn't allowed to for 6 weeks. So needless to say, we had a few laundry problems.
First of all, The laundry table piled up like you wouldn't believe. Then there was laundry all over the floor. When laundry got done, people would just dump it on the table. No one wanted to fold it or put it away, and since mommy wasn't going down there to make sure that it got put away, it piled up big time.
So anyway, baby was happy on Thursday. It was the kids first day back, Lisa slept, and I attacked the laundry room. I folded and put away many loads worth of laundry, did 6 loads, made piles for the rest, got rid of the junk, took out the garbage, and cleaned it up. Now today, I only have one load left on the floor getting ready for the wash, and I actually have a clear laundry table where I can fold the laundry. What a concept!
So much for exciting news!
Rachel, you should keep on posting!!
