It's really like having another kid in the house. The other night, I heard screaming and yelling and crying. I investigated, and found that Jeffrey, Julia, Mandy, and Stephanie had been harassing Mutti (Peter's mother-in-law), and she started to yell back and try to hit them. It was an interesting situation. I asked them why they would even do that, and they said she was driving them crazy, following them around, and talking to them constantly.
Now, if any of you have met my kids, the words docile, easy-going, easy to get along with, and the like would never enter your mind. They fight back, they're headstrong, and they won't take anything from anyone.
So here I have my 85 year old mother-in-law fighting with a nine year old, seven, four, and two year old. I told them to stay out of her way and just ignore her; don't let it get to you. I explained it to Peter, who asked her what was going on, and she said that this was her house, these kids were running around in it, and she couldn't get them out! Well, I guess she acclimated.
Her roommate came back from California, and wants her job back of caring for Ursula. So Ursula will go home tomorrow after staying here a few weeks. It will be a good thing for everyone. Especially Stephanie. Stephanie can't even look at Mutti without screaming at her. Mutti thinks that she's a little baby who has to be constantly watched. She follows her around the house and tries to limit her behavior. Well, if you know Stephanie, she doesn't take it. She screams back, runs away, and hides in my room.
We went to my aunt's house tonight. Stephanie ended up sitting by Mutti. Every time Mutti even tried to talk to Stephanie, Stephanie started yelling at her. I have no idea what she was saying, but fortunately Mutti couldn't understand any of it. So I think Stephanie will be the happiest to have her back at home.
Peter's still working hard. There's another round of change we wanted to make to the program. He's trying to get those done this week so we can send out another press release and try again to get it picked up. We'll see how it goes!
