Pastries, Chocolate, and Gelato in Jackson

My kids are a lot like me. They too have developed a love for Jackson. One of our favorite places to shop there is a gourmet speciality chocolate and pastry shop. It moves every time we are there, so we always have to hunt them down. But it's worth it!

Peter & I used to just stop the car, he would run in and grab a few things, and we would secretly eat them. Last time we were there we had stayed in a bigger suite at the Virginian that had two bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, and a living room. We thought we would share our passion for good food with our girls.

When the little kids were asleep we grabbed some plates, knives and forks from the kitchen and invited them into our room. We cut everything in fourths so everyone could try everything. We had a raspberry hazelnut mousse, chocolate cream tart, lemon pie, fruit tart, and yummy chocolates. Well, the kids liked it so much that Sara started saving up her money so she could buy her own and not share it.

I think it's been about 3 years since we've been there. Maybe four. I'm not sure. So she has saved, and saved, and saved. And every year we haven't gone and she's been disappointed.

So this year we got to Jackson, found the chocolate shop (eventually after many other shopping detours), and realized it's a couple blocks from our hotel! So the first evening we stopped there so everyone could buy what they wanted. They were so yummy, we went back the next morning to buy more. We just kind of hung out in the parking lot trying each other's confections. I've never had food that good!

At least now I'm not the only one who's a spoiled princess!
