Last night I made dinner, and while I was cooking dinner I boiled a big pot of 7 dozen eggs (yes, my kids eat a lot of eggs--usually just the whites though). I went to take the pot of eggs to the sink. When I went to pour out the boiling water (away from me) somehow the water ended up on the front of me. I ended up with a great big burn on my tummy. Owww! That hurt. I ended up on the sofa with my belly exposed dousing it in lydocaine for hours. I read a few books last night while waiting for the pain to subside. I was finally able to sleep by 3 AM. Better today, just tender if I have fabric on it.
And the girls are home! Yea! It's been weird having so many people gone this week, and having a family of kids 10 and under. Yea, that was definitely strange. I'm used to having teens around, and yes, I missed them. Welcome home girls! Fortunately they had a great time.
